      Hi Kim13,

      The government put in laws about pollution limits that every company has to follow. It’s then the company’s responsibility to make sure that they are following these laws. The only thing Heineken doesn’t do all themselves is the water treatment. When Heineken sends waste water down the drain (in Hereford), it goes to Welsh Water to be treated and made suitable to go back into the normal water system. This is because Welsh Water are the experts with this and it would cost us a lot more money to make our own water treatment facilities than to pay them to do it for us.
