      Hi Martin,

Excellent question- engineers are very involved in making sure they work safely and a lot of the time we have responsibility for other people’s safety too.

Here at Coca Cola Enterprises safety is the most important thing- before manufacturing product so we can make money for the company we always make sure we are working safely. If safety is compromised we will not work- simple as that.

We even have a health and safety council who discuss any potential safety issues in the factory as well as a safety manager who takes on the role for responsibility of making the whole site safe.

We have gone over a year without an accident onsite so far and we are looking to beat our current safety record very soon!

      Hi Martin,

Exactly as Danielle said – safety is our number one priority at Heineken and if something is considered unsafe, nobody is allowed to do it. We have alarms all over the site to let us know if there is a gas leak for example and also with the computers to tell us if there are any problems with the process as it is running so we can prevent anything dangerous from happening.

I have never hurt myself at work (thankfully), but of course accidents can still happen. If anybody does hurt themselves we have procedures in place to make sure that we learn from this and it will never happen again.
